This is how a first appointment runs at Bliss Beauty, from booking to walking out the door.
Before you arrive
- Come with clean lashes and brows. No mascara, no brow products, and nothing oily around the eyes, so the treatment can take properly.
- Contact lenses: wear glasses if you can, or bring your case so you can take lenses out.
- Set aside a little longer than the treatment time. Your first visit includes a proper consultation, and we would rather not rush it.
- Prefer a quiet appointment? Add a Silent Appointment request when you book. First-time clients still get a short consult at the start.
The consultation
Every appointment starts here. We look at your natural lashes or brows, how they grow, your eye and face shape, and what you want to see in the mirror afterwards. For a lash lift we map the lash line, because a curl that flatters one eye shape will not suit another.
If your lashes or brows are not suited to what you asked for, we will tell you here and suggest what is.
During a lash lift
You lie back on the treatment bed with your eyes closed the whole time. A small shield is placed on the lid, your lashes are gently positioned on it, and the lifting and setting steps are applied in turn. A tint usually follows. Most people find it relaxing, and plenty of clients drift off.
During brow lamination
Brows are cleansed, the lamination solution relaxes the hairs so they can be brushed into their new shape, and a setting step holds them there. Every lamination includes a brow wax and tidy, and you can add a tint for a more defined arch.
When you are done
You will see the result straight away. We will go through aftercare before you leave; the short version is to keep the area dry and makeup-free for 24 hours. The full guide is in lash lift and brow lamination aftercare.
Which studio to book
We have two studios in SW Calgary: the Salon Studio in Garrison Woods, open Sunday to Thursday, and the Home Studio, open Friday and Saturday. The contact page has the addresses and hours, and evening appointments are available by request.

Questions we’re often asked
Does a lash lift hurt?
No. Your eyes stay closed throughout and most clients find it relaxing. Tell us straight away if anything stings.
Should I wear makeup to my appointment?
Please come with clean lashes and brows, with no mascara, brow products or oil-based products on the area.
Can I wear contact lenses during a lash lift?
It is more comfortable to take them out. Wear glasses if you can, or bring your lens case.
