December is the month of photos: the office party, family dinners, a night out with friends, New Year's Eve. A lash lift means none of them starts with a lash curler, and one well-timed appointment can cover the lot.
Count back from your first party
Book a few days to a week before the first event you care about. The first 24 hours are for setting: no water, steam or makeup on your lashes and brows. Booking the day before cuts it too fine, because you would be getting ready for the party while the lift is still setting.
Make one appointment cover the season
A Korean lash lift typically lasts four to six weeks, until those lashes shed naturally. Book in late November or the first week of December and the lift is still fresh for the Christmas parties, with a good chance of lasting to New Year's Eve. How long it lasts depends on your own growth cycle.
If your parties start in November and run into January, ask about the keratin lash infusion. Our booking listing puts the keratin lash lift at six to eight weeks.
Add brow lamination
In photos, brows frame the eye as much as lashes do. Brow lamination sets them into a fuller, brushed-up shape and includes a brow wax and tidy, with a tint as an add-on. You can have both in one visit: the lash and brow package takes about an hour and twenty minutes and includes tints and a brow wax. Read getting a lash lift and brow lamination together.
First lift? Try it in November
If you have never had a lash lift, have your first one in November rather than the week of your biggest party. You will see how the curl suits you and how your lashes look as it grows out, and December holds no surprises. Read what to expect at your first appointment.
Party-season care
- Keep the first 24 hours dry and makeup-free, and skip the hot tub and steam room that day.
- Take party makeup off gently. Press and lift rather than scrubbing across the lash line.
- Go easy on oily cleansers around the eyes. Oil can soften the curl faster.
- Brush lashes and brows into place with a clean spoolie each morning.

There are only so many appointments before the holidays, so book as soon as you know your dates. The Salon Studio in Garrison Woods takes appointments Sunday to Thursday, and the Home Studio in SW Calgary on Fridays and Saturdays. Need an evening or weekend time? Call or text Tas directly.

Questions we’re often asked
When should I get a lash lift before a Christmas party?
A few days to a week before, so the 24-hour setting window has passed and the lift is fresh on the night.
Will a lash lift last from Christmas to New Year's Eve?
It can. A Korean lash lift typically lasts four to six weeks, so a lift in early December often still looks good on New Year's Eve. How long it lasts depends on your own growth cycle.
Can I wear mascara to a party after a lash lift?
Yes, once 24 hours have passed. Choose a gentle formula that comes off without scrubbing. Lifted, tinted lashes often look finished without it.
